5 Love Lessons We Picked Up from Cherry Pie Picache and Edu Manzano’s Q&A Vlog
In a two-part video, the PieDu tandem answered questions about their relationship
In case you don’t know, Cherry Pie Picache and Edu Manzano have been together for quite some time now. The two recently worked together in the ABS-CBN show Marry Me, Marry You and just opened a bit more about their relationship.
During Valentine’s Day, Cherry Pie interviewed Edu for her YouTube channel and the two got real about their relationship. Here are five love lessons we’ve learned from the two-part video that was definitely good vibes.
Before they got together, they were friends
In the first part of the video, Cherry Pie and Edu were asked how they reacted to the clamor and kilig from fans on their tandem.
“We’re very thankful. Na touch kami at tsaka nagulat din tayo,” Cherry Pie said.
(We’re thankful. We were touched and really surprised about it.)
The actress admitted getting scared about their relationship but relaxed after as those who found out cheered them on.
Edu on the other hand said it helped they were good friends.
“Malaking bagay din yung naging magkaibigan kami. Ang nakikita ‘nyo is pawang katotohanan... it’s real,” he said.
(It also helps that we were friends. What they really see with us is real.)
There’s nothing wrong with being hopeless romantic
In between their bantering with each other, both admitted they are very romantic people at heart.
“Ako hindi ako yung typical (I am not typical) romantic na sunset…I find romance in everything,” Edu said.
“And mahilig siya mang-surprise,” Cherry Pie added. (And he loves to surprise me)
They settle their differences before it even escalates
Like any other couple, they also have their arguments, but Edu said they try to settle it immediately.
“There is no sense na patagalin pa,” Edu said.
“He’s the one the goes come on, let’s settle this, let’s talk about it. There’s no sense, ” Cherry Pie added.
PieDu: “Inspire each other but also inspire themselves”
Both admit that they inspire each other to be better but Cherry Pie also reminded everyone it’s important that you are whole first.
“Your partner comes into your life not to complete you because you should be complete. So that if ever, you can give yourself to that person,” she said in a mix of English and Filipino.
“In the partnership also, that should also be the intention like I want to be a better person for you.”
They are willing to do as much as they can for each other
Asked what they are willing to do for each other, Cherry Pie said that she is willing to do a lot. ” I am here to add more love, to make you more happy, to make you more productive, to make you a better person and you know I’ll always be behind you.”
Edu for his part said: ” You really have to give your best. Otherwise, what’s the point.”

Making it work
Cherry Pie and Edu have gone through various relationships before getting together. Their crazy schedules can get in the way of their relationship but somehow they make it work and it helps that their kids approved of the relationship also. Now how modern is that for families out there?
