It’s not a Filipino Christmas without a good Lechon. Here are 5 places to order Lechon for our Christmas dinners.

It’s Filipino tradition to have a whole Lechon sitting in the middle of a Christmas dinner. Even after the holidays, we can easily turn that Lechon into Lechong Paksiw or Pritson (a cheaper alternative to wrapped duck). A lot of times, we have to preorder them so they’ll arrive just in time for Christmas Eve. But not all Lechons are made equal and we’ve become quite picky with it. Without further ado, here are 5 places that have good Lechon for your Christmas dinner.

1. Timplador De Cebu Lechon House

Probably one of the closest we’ve tasted to the authentic Zubuchon, Timplador De Cebu‘s Lechon is so tasty that we don’t even need the typical Lechon sauce to eat it with. It’s best enjoyed with just a simple spiced vinegar to refresh the palate after each bite. Timplador also does sisig and boneless and chopped Lechon belly if you want something smaller for your intimate Christmas dinner. They also sell by the kilo and we always have to order early, they tend to get full with orders fast.

2. Zubuchon

Zubuchon doesn’t just sell Lechon. They have a variety of recipes that use their Lechon also to build up your menu for a Christmas dinner. They have Lumpiang Kare-Kare, Lechong Monggo, and their Ensaladang Kamatis, Itlog na Maalat, at Tinapang Bangus is a must have when eating Zubuchon’s Lechon.
