Angelica Panganiban Says She’s Enjoying Her Pregnancy
Actress Angelica Panganiban says she is currently focusing on the arrival of her child with boyfriend Greg Homan.
After announcing her pregnancy to her followers last week, actress Angelica Panganiban shared more details about becoming a mom. In an interview with Star Magic’s Inside News, Angelica said she’s enjoying her pregnancy despite some challenges.
“Well, ini-enjoy ko talaga dahil ang tagal ko itong hinintay. Lahat ng mga kaibigan ko kapag may nabubuntis, ako ‘yung mahilig mag-interview kung ano ang pakiramdam ganyan. Tapos naa-amaze lang ako sa pagiging babae, parang ‘Wow ang galing, mararamdaman ko kaya yan?’ So nung dumating siya parang kahit mahirap ang pagsusuka, ini-enjoy ko lang. ‘Ah ganoon pala yon, ah totoo pala, akala niyo kayo lang ha,‘” Angelica said.
(Well, I am enjoying it. Because I really waited for this. Every time my friends get pregnant, I’m the one who loves to interview them about how they feel. And I get amazed. Like I wonder, wow—will I feel that someday? So despite the challenges, I am just enjoying it.)
Angelica Panganiban on getting pampered
Angelica Panganiban also admits that she enjoys the treatment she’s been getting after announcing her pregnancy.
“Sabi ko nga ang sarap magbuntis parang alagang alaga ka parang bini-baby ka ng lahat, parang ayaw mong matapos. Sobrang thankful lang talaga and masayang-masaya lang ang pakiramdam ko dahil ang daming naging masaya, ang daming naging masaya sa balita at nakakataba ng puso na maramdamam na ang daming sumusuporta at nagmamahal hindi lang sa akin kung hindi sa magiging pamilya ko rin,” she said.
(It’s actually fun being pregnant. Because everyone takes care of you. And you don’t want it to end. I am so thankful and I am just so happy because so many people are happy about the news. It’s heartwarming to know the support and love not only for me but for my soon-to-be family.)
According to Angelica, she found out about the pregnancy when she was about to start taping for the show My Papa Pi with Piolo Pascual. However, she has been pulled out and replaced by Pia Wurtzbach. In addition, she’s thankful that management has been understanding.
“Sobrang thankful ko dahil hindi nila ako pinahirapan, walang pagpilit na mag-stay pa ako, i-try ko, tapusin ko ‘yung isang season. Wala, walang ganoon. Talagang inintindi nila ako. Open arms nilang tinanggap ‘yung good news. Lahat sila tumawag, lahat sila nag-text nagko-congratulate sila, sobrang supportive nila,” she said.
(I am so thankful. Because they did not make it hard for me to stay or try to finish one season. They really understood my situation. They welcomed the good news and called or texted to congratulate us. They’re very supportive.)
Waiting for the baby
For now, Angelica Panganiban is stepping back from her career and waiting for the arrival of her baby. Work will have to wait.
“I’m sure naiintindihan ako ng mga boss, sobrang supportive nila sa akin. Napaka-suwerte ko na dumating siya sa tamang tao, sa tamang timing, tamang mga tao ang mga nasa paligid ko para intindihin at suportahan ako sa magandang, bagong journey at bagong chapter ng buhay ko,” she said.
(I am sure my bosses understand. And they’re supportive of me. I am so lucky that this came with the right person, timing, and people around me. They understand me with this beautiful and new journey of my life.)
