ArteFino 2022: Celebrate Art as a Conscious Craft This Buwan Ng Wika

The Artefino Festival 2022 celebrates Buwan ng Wika through the promotion of its local designers and stylists to spread its advocacy for “art as a conscious craft”.

It’s easy to convince ourselves to buy designs from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and the late Karl Lagerfeld. But August is the month to celebrate and open our minds to our own local artists. If we can hold famous visual artist Fernando Amorsolo in high regard, we can do the same for the many Filipino artists, designers, and entrepreneurs who seek to lift other Filipino families and save the environment through their craft. Welcome to the ArteFino 2022 Festival where designers celebrate art as a conscious craft.

Celebrate The 2 Years Art Has Kept The Filipinos Sane

“We wanted to bring this bond together in a shared space where we could all shop, learn, and connect,” explains one of ArteFino’s founders, Cedie Lopez-Vagas. “What better way to reunite like-minds with youthful energy than a festival?”

With the rise of many mompreneurs who have found their calling, ArteFino will be bringing more than 150 brands with 44 of them being handpicked. Many of these brands will be making their debut from August 25 to September 28. But dads will no longer need to just sit by the plants and wait for moms to shop. There’s a new shopping venue for men known as the Barracks. They plan to offer a variety of options for dads in their pursuit of “easy living”.

Meet the new faces of local designers!

With 150 brands showcasing themselves, there are a few new faces in the ArteFino 2022 festival. Some include AIRE, a local brand that’s determined to fill the gap for the modern-day gentleman. The Shape Shop, run by mompreneur Patricia Go, focuses on athleisure wear to empower women into recognizing and feeling the best form of themselves. Bagoyan, hailing from the North, brings down the beloved stories woven in each of their works into classical contemporary pieces. And many others such as Camille Villanueva, Kelvin Morales, Christian Cera, Katha Pilipinas, Pinas Sadya, Pinagtagpi, Nuevo Ystilo, Jill Lao, and Vina Romero. They will be showcasing their talents in portraying “Art as a Conscious Craft” as well.

ArteFino Festival 2022: “Renew, Recycle, Reuse”

Saving the environment means being more conscious about consumption. Many artists find themselves exploring the purest form of art which is at the roots. From the materials to the designs, celebrating Buwan ng Wika doesn’t mean just appreciating the vintage fashion. But it also means welcoming the many local mompreneurs, dadpreneurs, and empowered millennials who are determined to make life better for every Filipino family and the environment.
