Bettina Carlos Confirms Her Pregnancy After Suffering a Miscarriage
Bettina Carlos, who suffered a miscarriage early this year, shared that she is 12 weeks pregnant.
Former actress Bettina Carlos confirmed that she’s pregnant again. In a vlog posted on June 18, the author announced that she was 12 weeks pregnant.
According to Bettina, the pregnancy was unexpected. She and her husband were scheduled to spend time with friends but she decided to have a pregnancy test first.
“I just checked to make sure it’s safe if I do consume alcohol. Biglang nag-positive,” she shared. “There were two lines pero yung second line, faint.”
Bettina then wondered if it was true because she wasn’t supposed to get pregnant until after 6 months after her pelvic laparotomy following a miscarriage.
She then decided to undergo another test and saw that it was positive again. However, she tried to control her excitement and took another one five days later, where she found two lines even though one was still faint.
Bettina Carlos then took a test one more time with a different brand and this time, the two lines were clear. She and her husband Mikki Eduardo decided to announce the news and their daughter Gummy was surprised but happy.
An Unexpected Pregnancy for Bettina Carlos
For Bettina Carlos, the pregnancy was unexpected as she was informed that she was only allowed to try again after 6 months.
“Dapat next month pa kami actively mag-try to be pregnant. But you know, talagang God is the higher authority. More sovereign over the doctors,” she declaired. “Si God, ultimately may hawak ng time. He’s all-powerful to dictate life when to allow it to happen.”
Bettina added that she wasn’t really yet keen on having another one after losing her child Whammy from miscarriage.
“I’m starting to feel better and feel like myself again, have a routine, tapos, sobrang nagulat kami , we’re pregnant,” she said. “When you think about it, on the same year we had Whammy and we lost him, God gave this new baby to us. And I am due to give birth in December – all [in] one year; end to end.”
Bettina added that looking back, it was really all about timing. “When I think about my pregnancy, I can’t help but really say that God knows His time for everything. His timing is always perfect.”
Early miscarriage
it was in February when Bettina Carlos confirmed she and Mikki lost Whammy. At that time, she wrote to mothers: ” To all the mothers who have lost their children before they could even hold them, feel them, see them (in the flesh or ultrasound), may you too find peace in this—God’s purposes for the lives of our unborn children were fully fulfilled however long or short they were IN us. Their lives did not go to waste.”
Bettina Carlos, who got married to Mikki Eduardo in 2020, has a daughter, Gummy from a previous relationship.
