Bettina Carlos Posts Powerful Reminder After Suffering Miscarriage
The former actress and mom of one reminds mothers who suffered a miscarriage that the lives of their unborn children ‘ did not go to waste’
Former actress and author Bettina Carlos on Tuesday, February 1 confirmed she suffered a miscarriage. In her message, she also reminded moms who went through the situation that they are not alone in the situation.
“We were pregnant and then no more,” Bettina said posting a photo of a pregnancy test kit and sonogram. ” To all the mothers who have lost their children before they could even hold them, feel them, see them (in the flesh or ultrasound), may you too find peace in this: God’s purposes for the lives of our unborn children were fully fulfilled however long or short they were IN us. Their lives did not go to waste.”
Bettina Carlos: ‘Grateful to conceive even for a short while’
She also told her followers that being alive in the world still means having a purpose set by God for them. Despite the ordeal, she is grateful that she was given a chance to conceive for a short time.
“Lord, You were so gracious in giving to us and You are still good even in taking away. Thank you for the fresh hope and new joy You gave us even for a very short while. Thank you for the assurance that one day, in heaven, we will see and be with our child. Thank you for what You give when You take away. What we gain from this loss.”
Several of her close friends including Nikki Gil and Iya Villania posted messages of support, saying in time, she’ll have a child again.
Bettina Carlos, who got married to Mikki Eduardo in 2020 has a daughter, Gummy from a previous relationship.

Many women who suffer miscarriages face the trauma of being afraid to conceive again. Let us remind ourselves not to get pressured by society and get our bodies ready when the time is right. After all, in His time, He will grant the wish for a child to be born in the world.
