Bindi Irwin’s Endometriosis Battle Reminds People to be Sensitive on Women’s Pregnancies

Bindi Irwin took to social media to share her battle with endometriosis. Last March 9, the Tv personality, and daughter of the late Steve Irwin wrote that she was initially reluctant to tell her story, but felt it was time to give more awareness to the condition.

“For 10 years, I’ve struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain, and nausea. Trying to remain a positive person and hide the pain has been a very long road,” she shared.

Bindi added doctors informed her that it was something initially women deal with. Thanks to a friend, she was able to get more information about endometriosis and get surgery. She is now recovering and doing well.

Bindi Irwin: Be gentle about asking women about pregnancy

In the same post, Bindi reminded people in being polite or careful asking women when they will have kids because it can be a sensitive topic.

“Please be gentle and pause before asking me (or any woman) when we’ll be having more children,” she advised. “After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family’s miracle.”

According to the United States Institute of Health, endometriosis, is defined as “a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other places in the body.” It is a common condition found among women in their 30s and 40s.

Bindi Irwin shares one child, a daughter, Grace born in 20212 with her husband Chandler Powell. She is a known conservationist and has appeared on television in shows such as Dancing with the Stars and Crikey! It’s the Irwins.
