Thinking of Buying a Car Seat Online? Here are Some Options
With the implementation of Car Seat Law waiting in the wings, parents have been looking for car seat options in the online marketplace. Note that, you can’t buy just any car seat. According to RA 11229, it must be appropriate to a child’s age, height, and weight, and must be mounted on a rear seat of the vehicle.
It must also comply with standards set by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as specified in DTI Department Administrative Order No. 20-03, and other international standards, including those under the United Nations Regulations 44 and 149.

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the use of car seats actually reduces the risk for death to infants (aged <1 year) by 71% and to toddlers (aged 1–4 years) by 54%. Booster seat use reduces the risk for serious injury by 45% for young children (aged 4–8) years when compared with using a seat belt use alone. So though car seats are quite pricey, we feel that owning one does have its purpose in the long run.
