Cute DIY Grazing Box Ideas We Can Do For Christmas

Here are some DIY grazing box ideas we can do for Christmas 2022.

Sometimes, the best grazing boxes are personally curated. We take to Instagram and Facebook to see all these gorgeous packages filled with yummy cheeses and meat—especially when we’re not sure what to give our relatives. But the people we are giving the grazing box to might have more peculiar tastes. And if some of us might be having some trouble coming up with ideas for our DIY grazing boxes, here are some to check out!

1. Christmas Wreathe by ChicLeafDinnerWare x RoseGaze

Make your grazing box more Christmas-themed by choosing a round box and styling it like a wreathe. You can cut the cheese out into Christmas tree shapes, too. For the cutouts, choose cheeses that will hold their form like Manchego or Jack Cheese.

2. Smores for the Chilly Weather (Styling by Boards by MK)

Who said grazing boxes need to be loaded with cheeses and meats only? For those who are kids at heart or looking for something to satisfy the chocolate monster in them, a chocolate and smores grazing box is the perfect gift this Christmas.

3. Pinoy-Themed Grazing Box

How about going local for this season’s grazing box? For the wine, the Philippines doesn’t just have Lambanog. There is also calamansi wine, mango wine, and pineapple wine, and the wide variety of fruits makes it easy to pair them up with our usual kesong puti. As for meat, there’s hamon serano and chorizo de bilbao. The Goodness Graze did so using Lambanog but we can switch it up.

4. Switch up the wine.

A lot of grazing boxes play with the idea of serving Moscatos as a companion for the meat and cheese. But if we’re doing a sweet grazing box, there are some liqueurs that may pair better. Some of the good local liqueurs include Kanto Salted Caramel Vodka, Intramuros Liqueur de Cacao, and Ube Cream Liqueur. Stargraze PH had the right idea in using Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur instead.

5. Change up the fruits.

Grapes have always been the common staple of grazing boxes. It provides palate cleansing after eating all that meat. But some people may find grapes too sweet despite their low glycemic load so oranges, strawberries, and blueberries might be good substitutes. Pomelo or what we commonly call “suha” might be a good replacement for it, too.

There are so many grazing box ideas out there!

Grazing boxes may sound fancy and will give us the idea of having to spend a lot. But that will not be the case if we know where to buy our components. Fita or Ritz are good to eat with cheese. Hamon Serano is also easily available. And if you know where to locate Sagada Oranges, it means making the orange farmers of the Mountain Province happy this Christmas!
