Dimples Romana Reveals: “I’m Pregnant with Baby Number Three!”
Dimples Romana excitedly shares with Modern Parenting that she’s about to become a mother of three.
Dimples Romana was all smiles during her recent cover shoot with Modern Parenting. There’s a twinkle in her eye that tells the whole room she’s about to blurt out a secret—and indeed, in her interview, she giddily spills what we’ve all been waiting for. “I’m so excited to be sharing with you all that I am expecting. We are having baby number three! Baby number three came as a very, very happy surprise for my family.”
Dimples Romana on Letting Her Daughter Break Barriers
“I feel like it’s such a big blessing and surprise for me and my family to actually have another child,” she says. The actress already has two children. Her eldest is her daughter, Callie, who will be going to college very soon.
“She’s off to college to be a pilot in Australia. And I’m so excited for her. It’s so timely that we’re celebrating International Women’s Month. I feel very inspired to have raised a young woman like Callie. It amazes me to see her achieving her dreams, leaving the country, doing something for herself on her own, and becoming a pilot.”
“That alone is very admirable. I think she takes inspiration from my father-in-law. Papa used to fly for the air force.”
An Empowered Mother
When it comes to empowering her children, Dimples Romana believes in letting them choose what they want to become. Callie was born in 2003. A little over a decade after came her son, Alonzo.
“They’re complete opposites of each other. Callie is an introvert while Alonzo is an extrovert. Whenever I look at Callie, the words courage, strength, and inspiration come to mind. On the other hand, Alonzo embodies joy, freedom, and sensitivity.”
“And then now, with the additional baby, I can’t help but feel so giddy every morning!” she admits with a big grin. “I’ve also never felt so empowered. I’ve never felt so strong as a woman. I feel like when you are carrying another life in your body, it makes you even braver. It makes you want to do more things for yourself and for your own family. Being a mother has also taught me to take care of myself more because I’m carrying another life in me.”
A Mother to Three Different Generations
With Callie being born in 2003, Alonzo in 2015, and her third baby in 2023, Dimples Romana feels blessed to have not just kind children—but also the opportunity to become a parent in different decades.
“If you think about the ways of raising children based on the kinds of things happening all over the world—I mean, it was so different back in 2003. And then with Alonzo in 2015. Now, with the pandemic. I know a lot of women have been experiencing great pregnancies, difficult ones, challenging ones, beautiful journeys, challenging journeys. But at the same time, these experiences make us women even stronger than we were before. And I think the most important part of it is that, right now, society is so willing to give us everything that we need.”
“Right now, we are so keen on being kinder to one another and it’s so beautiful to watch. Because we all know that the pandemic has given us a new perspective—when it comes to family, and when it comes to values. We have been pushed somehow to embrace the basics and go back to our roots. Now, everything boils down to family. So a new addition is always a great, great, great blessing for me.”
