Easy Halloween Treats For Kids
Trick or Treat? Candies please! It’s one of the most exciting times of the year. Given the situation we are in right now, we won’t be able to go trick-or-treating. But that shouldn’t stop you or your kids from celebrating Halloween!
Bring on the pumpkins, spooky costumes, and other props to feel the Halloween vibes! We’ve rounded up some treats that are fun and easy to do at home with your kids.
Here are five easy Halloween treats for kids:
1. Pumpkin Toast
Skip the candies, mommies! Try this tasty pumpkin toast with your little ones. The good news: you can find all ingredients at the grocery: bread, pumpkin butter, and chocolate chips. This recipe doesn’t require much skill to whip up. Just place the bread in the toaster, spread the pumpkin butter, and use the chocolate chips to decorate eyes and a mouth to resemble a jack-o-lantern — and yay! you’re done. Best to serve with fresh milk, too!
2. Tangerine Pumpkins and Banana Ghosts
Do you want to treat your little ghosties with something sweet but healthy? Then this is perfect for you. Just grab some tangerines and bananas then decorate them with chocolate chips to make ghost eyes and mouths. Our tip? You can also add some celery pieces on top of the peeled tangerines to resemble pumpkins.
3. Pizza Mummies
Boohoo! Get your kids involved in decorating their own spooky Halloween pizzas — with English muffins, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, olives, and pimentos!
4. Chocolate Tofu Puddings
We’ve always been fans of chocolate and for sure you don’t want to miss making these chocolate tofu puddings. You can add some sour wormies, too!
5. Pumpkin Pop-Eye Tarts
Round up the little ghosties and get them in the kitchen — they’ll enjoy making these sweet pumpkin pop-eye tarts! Tarts are fun to do especially if it’s homemade — you can turn them into fun shapes and add more with sweet fillings (depending on your preference).
