Watch the video below and find out why you need to listen and fight

Yesterday, a campaign went out featuring Filipino influencers such as: Amanda Griffin-Jacob, Dingdong Dantes, Cheska Garcia Kramer, Solenn Heussaff-Bolzico, Toni Gonzaga Soriano, Andi Manzano-Reyes, and Dimples Romana calling out for people to listen:

Why You Need To Listen

As International Justice Mission’s (IJM) inaugural ambassador, social media influencer and founder of Glam-O-Mamas, Amanda Griffin-Jacob partnered with 22 influencers in the video above to support the fight against the livestreaming of child sexual abuse. “This impacts countless globally,” shares Amanda. “Especially in the Philippines, where the livestreaming sexual abuse of children – even infants – has risen because of a “perfect storm” of COVID-19 factors: Children are locked down with their abusers and offenders are spending more online.”

Online sexual exploitation of children: What you need to know

Right now, countless children are suffering from the unimaginable horrors of online sexual exploitation. These children are trafficked and sexually abused in person to create videos, photos and livestreams that are sold online to sex offenders around the world. Their stories are being told through newspapers, podcasts and social media, but this complex, global crime also requires a global response to end it.

Amanda has been appointed as IJM’s inaugural ambassador.

The International Justice Mission

International Justice Mission (IJM) has been working in the Philippines for over 20 years in partnership with the Philippine Government, local and foreign law enforcement and social services to end sexual violence against women and children. IJM teams—including lawyers, social workers and advocates—are supporting these efforts to protect children by ending impunity for this form of human trafficking. To date, IJM has supported the rescue of over 700 victims and at-risk children, some as young as infants, while partnering with the Philippine Government to scale sustainable nationwide efforts to turn back this crime.
