EUA for Pfizer COVID-19 Pill, Paxlovid, Now Granted!

The use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 pill, Paxlovid, is now allowed in the PH!

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director Oscar Gutierrez announced last March 11, 2022, that Pfizer’s COVID-19 antiviral pill, Paxlovid, is now allowed in the PH. We’ve heard that the pill was still in production but none were available. Stores only had Molnupiravir but now with a new player, it’s more hope that the cases can drop. And finally, COVID-19 will be a thing of the past and becomes curable.

Two choices in the market: Pfizer’s COVID-19 pill, Paxlovid and Molnupiravir

“We’re happy to announce that we approved the use of Paxlovid,” declares FDA Director Oscar Gutierrez during an interview. “That’s for EUA. Now, there are two anti-viral oral treatments that are available in the market: Molnupiravir and Paxlovid.”

That’s good news for anyone who finds themselves allergic to the vaccine. Although being vaccinated is still recommended, there are some who can’t take it immediately. The presence of both pills being available in the market can help us breathe easier since now, COVID-19 is more curable than it was two years ago. Although the EUA is often declared for products still in development, it still gives hope considering that Pfizer has a good track record as a vaccine against COVID-19.

Still, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try getting vaccinated!

Whether it’s right away or not, getting vaccinated should be our priority. Although we’re at Lockdown Level 1, that doesn’t mean we should ease up. Sometimes, we get carried away by the joy of bringing our kids out. But until the Department of Health hasn’t lifted the State of Public Health Emergency, we still need to be careful. Finding pills and buying them can be stressful also. Staying vigilant is still a must until COVID-19 no longer plagues the country. Stay safe every parent! We’ve got this!
