LOOK: ‘Gimik’ Stars Judy Ann Santos, G Tongi, and Mylene Dizon Had a Mini-Reunion
Actresses Judy Ann Santos, G Tongi, and Mylene Dizon had a quick catch-up at Jing Monis’ salon.
Three members of the ABS-CBN teen-oriented drama Gimik recently had a quick reunion. In an Instagram reel posted on September 21, US-based actress G Tongi, who is in Manila for a visit, got to see co-stars Mylene Dizon and Judy Ann Santos during a salon day at Jing Monis.
“Pang emergency gimik! New do’ thanks to @jingmonis Lovely surprise seeing my OG’s @officialjuday @missmylenedizon,” G Tongi shared.
The three ladies are among the show’s stars, including Diether Ocampo, Marvin Agustin, Bojo Molina, and Jolina Magdangal. Judy Ann played Diane while G was Gina. Mylene played Melanie on the show.
The show ran from 1996 to 1999 with a movie, Gimik: The Reunion released in 1999. In 2010, Judy Ann, G, Mylene, Diether, Marvin, Jolina, and Bojo reunited in a special Gimik 2010 series.
Life after Gimik
Since the conclusion of Gimik, the three stars have established their own paths in showbiz. G Tongi is married to Tim Walters and is now a mother of two kids. She is based in the US and actively works with the Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture in California.
Mylene has become one of the country’s versatile actresses, playing protagonist and antagonist roles on film and TV. She has two kids from her previous relationship with Paolo Paraiso.
Judy Ann, who became one of the country’s top actresses, is now happily married to TV host Ryan Agoncillo. They have 3 children – Yohan, Lucio, and Luna. Judy Ann has chosen to focus on her family and does occasional TV appearances.
