Halloween Mocktail Recipes to Make for Your Next House Party

Here are some Halloween mocktails for your teens to make when they have their own spooky parties at home.

When teens feel like they’re too old to go trick-or-treating, they’ll want to have a Halloween party at home. Blast some Halloween music, add a bit of spooky decor, and no party is complete without a few drinks. Although teens will try to sneak a soju or two, balance it out with some of these Halloween mocktail recipes to keep the alcohol allergies to a minimum.

The White Walker

Teens will probably be on a Game of Thrones or House of Dragons binge so they’ll certainly know what a White Walker is. When serving the drink to them, don’t forget to tell them, “Brace yourselves, Winter is coming.” They’ll get the reference.

Recipe

  • Sparkling Water
  • Blue Curacao
  • Lime or Calamansi Juice
  • Mint
  1. Pull out an ice tray and freeze the lime and calamansi juice together with the Blue Curacao.
  2. Pour sparkling water and take some of the mint and remaining lemon slices to make infused water.
  3. Once fully frozen, place the blue frozen ice cubes in the glass and pour the infused sparkling water.

P.S. If you’re not willing to spend on Blue Curacao syrup, you can make some by shaving the zest off the lemon and calamansi slices and boiling it in sugar, water, and blue food coloring. Some add a little cinnamon powder as well for that extra kick.

Scarlet Witch

If there’s one character your daughters probably idolize right now from Marvel, it’s the Scarlet Witch. Hailed as one of the strongest heroes in her universe, here’s a drink that matches how powerful she is with how delicious it is! This Halloween mocktail requires light cooking, however.

Recipe

  • Orange juice
  • Sparkling Red Grape Juice
  • Apple Juice
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  1. Stew the apple juice for a bit in cinnamon and ginger and then cool until it becomes syrup-like in consistency.
  2. Add the orange juice.
  3. Pour in the Sparkling Red Grape Juice.
  4. Stir and enjoy.

Black Magic

No Halloween will be complete without Black Magic. “Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble,” chant the witches of Macbeth. If not Macbeth, let your family’s inner Addams Family show themselves with this drink.

Recipe

  • Sparkling Red Grape Juice
  • Pomegranate Syrup
  • Frozen Blackberries or Blue Berries
  • Cherry Juice
  1. Mix the Sparkling Red Grape Juice, Pomegranate Syrup, and some of the Cherry Juice
  2. Instead of water, freeze in an ice tray the cherry juice with blackberries or blueberries inside.
  3. To make the drink darker, add some black food coloring.

P.S. Some people use Coke and Grape Juice instead.

Elixir of Youth

Every witch wants to find a potion that will make them 20 years younger. While it’s quite close, this Halloween mocktail has a few fruits that can help bring some of that youthfulness back.

  • 5 cups of Cucumber Juice
  • 2 Cups Aloe Vera Juice
  • 1 cup Sparkling Water or Club Soda
  • Honey
  • 3 cups of Kiwi Juice
  • Cucumber Slices
  1. Mix a bit of hot water with the honey so it’s easier to mix with some of the fruit juices.
  2. Pour all the juices together with the club soda.
  3. Stir it all together.
  4. Once complete, add some cucumber slices.

Zombie

Even the classic tiki cocktail Zombie drink has a mocktail version! It’d be a shame for this drink not to be part of your Halloween mocktail selection.

  • 5 cups of Grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup of Lime Juice
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Star Anise
  • Sugar or Honey
  • 1/8 Grenadine
  • Clove
  1. First make the spiced syrup by boiling cinnamon, star anise, and cloves in a saucepan filled with water and sugar. For others, you can try infusing it with honey.
  2. Heat it for a few minutes or until it starts to lightly boil and then let it simmer.
  3. The base of the Zombie mocktail is Grapefruit Juice plus add half a cup of lime or lemon juice.
  4. Pour 1/8 cup of grenadine.
