Return to Hogwarts: Millennial Parents Are All Too Excited for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary

Millennial parents who grew up reading and watching the Harry Potter series can’t wait for the 20th Anniversary Edition set to air in January 2022.

The famous wizarding world that almost every millennial parent wanted to be a part of when they were younger (or that they still want to be a part of) is celebrating 20 years. The premiere of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” which is the first film from the series, marks its 20th anniversary this November. To celebrate the special milestone, actors from Harry Potter are reuniting on HBO Max. Danielle Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson (who play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger respectively) together with other cast members will appear in the special “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.”

According to a press release from Warner Media, the retrospective will feature several interviews. Additionally, it will take a look at the making of the films. Other actors confirmed to join are Helena Bonham Carter (who plays Bellatrix Lestrange), Ralph Fiennes (who plays Voldemort), and Tom Felton (who plays Draco Malfoy).

The special will be streamed on January 1 and will also air on TBS and Cartoon Network in Spring 2022.

Time to Bond with the Whole Family

If you grew up with the franchise and have stuck with Harry until the very end, now is the perfect time to get the whole family together! You can re-read all seven books and re-watch all eight films. It’s a great way to break the monotony of work-and-school-from-home. Aside from the magic that takes you to another world, there are so many valuable lessons that kids can learn about love, loss, and friendship. Furthermore, as Harry grows older, even the themes of each book mature—making it a great read for your teen.

Wands up to all parents who can’t wait for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Reunion!
