WATCH: Iya Villania and Drew Arellano Give A Peek Into Son Astro’s Birth
The couple welcomed Astro, their 4th child last June 4.
A month after giving birth to son Astro, Iya Villania and Drew Arellano posted the birth vlog on Sunday, July 17.
In the video, Iya Villania narrated that she was on the way to the hospital and that she was giving birth soon. As she and Drew waited, Iya kept moving around to help with labor—including doing some crazy movements to the amusement of the nurses.
Patiently waiting
As they waited for Astro’s arrival, Iya and Drew had some conversations, with the 24 Oras Chika Minute host admitting that her 4th pregnancy was the hardest. “Pang-apat ko na ito at ito pa ang pinaka matagal,” she said, referring to the 5-hour wait. “TikTok is the key,” she said in jest.
By 4:33 pm Iya was seen lying down in bed as the medical staff prepared for the birth.

Astro finally arrived at around 4:39 pm. A day after, Drew asked his wife how she was feeling after the birth. “Things feel a bit swollen down there but I feel good. And more than anything I’m still enjoying this high that I have from yesterday’s events,” she answered. Moreover, she was grateful that she was okay and that the baby was healthy.
Iya Villania always wanted to experience the birthing process without too much medicine being injected into her body. “I’ve always wanted to experience the whole birthing without the reliever, without the anesthesia. We succeeded guys!”
The couple has three other children—Antonio Primo, Alonzo Leon, and Alana Lauren.
