WATCH: Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo Give a Glimpse of Their Baby Girl
In their vlog, celebrity couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo showed the moment their baby girl arrived.
Almost two months since the arrival of their daughter, Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo shared for the first time on their vlog about the arrival of their baby in April. In the vlog entitled “Birth”, Jennylyn introduced her OB-Gyn.
“Check up lang dapat kami ngayon eh… bigla na lang kaming… bigla na lang eto na,” the couple shared. (We were supposed to have just a check up. But all of a sudden, it was time.)
“Hindi kami ready,” Jennylyn added. (We weren’t ready.)
Jennylyn was immediately brought to the labor room.
Dennis cuts the umbilical cord
Dennis was left alone as he patiently waited for the birth of his daughter. Luckily, he got to be a part of the experience.
“Kabadong-kabado ako. Si Jen naman almost halfway at palabas na yang baby. Kaya binigay sa akin yung gunting dahil ako ang puputol ng umbilical cord,” he said.
The actor said he was extremely nervous. But he cut the umbilical cord properly and talked to Jen briefly after she gave birth.
Hours after the birth, Dennis gave an update saying, “Healthy sila pareho. Excited na ako makita silang dalawa.”
“Excited na kami makita ni Dylan ‘yung kwarto niya,” he added.
He then went to pick up his wife and daughter, who were resting. They stayed for a few days in the hospital.
The video ended with them about to go home.
Long time coming
Last year, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together. This was after they initially went to the US to try for surrogacy. Weeks after they confirmed the pregnancy, the two tied the knot in November.
Jennylyn and Dennis have sons from previous relationships. Jennylyn has a son, Jazz, with ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia. Meanwhile, Dennis has Calix, his son with ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar.
