LOOK: Karla Estrada Returns to School
The actress and host shared a photo of her going back to school at the Philippine Christian University.
She may be in her 40s but Karla Estrada, like her contemporaries in showbiz, has decided to go back to school to finish her education. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 21, the former Magandang Buhay host shared a photo inside the Philippine Christian University, where she enrolled under the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
“And the Journey begins. Where’s the canteeeeen????” she said in jest.
Several of her close friends congratulated her on her new chapter in returning to school. Some of those who commented include singer Erik Santos, DJ Chacha, actresses Jackie Forster, Marjorie Barretto, and Nadia Montenegro.

Prior to the photo, Karla posted a short reel of her decision to return to school. In the post, she wrote: “Nothing is too late when you put your heart into it. Masaya po ako na ipagpatuloy ang aking
pag-aaral through Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) of Philippine Christian University.”
“Hindi ko po sasayangin ang pagkakataong ito. Kaya sa mga gusto pang magpatuloy ng pag-aaral sa kolehiyo at makakuha ng degree, hindi pa po huli ang lahat. Maraming salamat po sa office of the Speaker of the House for this opportunity. Laban tayo para sa mas magandang kinabukasan!”
Karla, the mother of actor Daniel Padilla, previously hosted Magandang Buhay until she took a leave to run as part of the party list TIGOG. Last July, she announced that she was leaving to pursue other ventures.
Karla was eventually replaced by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, who has previously pitched in as a guest co-host.
Karla has joined some of her contemporaries in showbiz such as Sunshine Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez, who has returned and graduated from college in between showbiz work.
