Klea Pineda’s Mom Posts a Message After Her Coming Out

Charito Pineda greets her daughter Klea with a happy birthday and says she is proud of her and will always love her.

Sometimes, a short message is all a daughter or son needs to know that their family loves them. Take it from actress Klea Pineda’s mom Charito who shared a strong message after her daughter came out as part of the LBTQIA+ community.

In the post, Charito Pineda greeted her daughter by saying, “Happy birthday, my firstborn. Always proud of you. We love you so much! Sana napasaya ka namin sa araw mo!”

The post was accompanied by a kiss and rainbow emoji. The rainbow has often been identified as a symbol of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Free at last

Klea, who rose to fame as a Starstruck winner, confirmed on her birthday that she was part of the LGBTQIA+ community in an Instagram post.

“Masasabi ko na ito na ang pinakamatapang na desisyon na nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko. I want the world to know that I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community,” she wrote.

“I know not everyone will understand and appreciate this decision. But throughout the years, I’ve learned to prioritize the things that give joy and meaning to my life, and revealing my sexuality to the world is a huge part of it.”

The actress also said that by speaking up, she hopes that it will inspire others one day to express themselves and be who they are.

After formally coming out, Klea introduced her girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf, to the public. Klea is currently part of the afternoon drama AraBella on GMA.
