Meet Lechonk the Pokémon And Why Everyone Finds It Amusing

The Pokémon universe continues to expand and in their new games Scarlet and Violet, a lovable hog named Lechonk is the talk of the town!

Kids of the 90s have grown up with Pokémon and thanks to characters like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, many still love playing the game. This year, kids and kids at heart are excited for the release of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. One Pokemon, in particular, has gotten attention—Lechonk.

Does Lechonk sound familiar? But before you even think of the suckling pig always part of parties, here’s why Lechonk has become the talk of the Pokémonverse.

Meet Lechonk the Pokémon

According to the description from the Pokémon website, Lechonk is classified as a hog Pokemon under the normal category (there are various categories such as fire, water, plant, and electric). It has a height of 1’8 feet and a weight of 22.5 pounds. Its ability includes aroma veil and gluttony.

The description goes: “Lechonk uses its sense of smell to find and eat only the most fragrant wild grasses and the richest berries. As a result of its dining habits, it has come to radiate an aroma resembling herbs that bug Pokémon dislike.”

Although Lechonk looks cute, it’s a powerful Pokemon as it can charge in panic.

“It may appear fat at first glance, but in reality, the Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food.”

Will it have an evolved form?

We may be gushing and fawning over Lechonk, but the question in our minds is—will he have an evolved form in the future? We’re not yet sure as the Scarlet and Violet games have just been launched but this is Pokémon and who knows? We might be in for a surprise.

For now, let’s enjoy the game, use Lechonk as one of the starters and see it play and be cute in battle.
