Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo are Expecting Their First Child!
Lovely Abella, known for appearing in the film Hello, Love, Goodbye and several GMA shows announced she and her husband, actor Ben Manalo, are going to be parents soon.
Actress and entrepreneur Lovely Abella announced she is going to be a mom. In a video reel on January 22, she revealed that she and actor Benj Manalo are expecting their first child together.
Based on Benj’s reaction, he was clearly surprised by the test Lovely showed. “In God’s Perfect Time! Miracle Happens!” she wrote. “Grabe para akong himatayin ng oras na to, di ako makapaniwala bago ko ibigay sa Asawa ko @benj Napakagandang Blessing sa unang buwan ng 2023!”
Lovely Abella, who has a daughter Crisha from a previous relationship, could not contain her excitement as she and Benj waited for the blessing for three years. Benj also has a son, Nathan, from his previous relationship.
A Miracle Blessing for Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo
Lovely and Benj consider the news a miracle as they’ve waited for this for a long time. They celebrated their wedding anniversary on January 23.
“After 15 years sa unang anak ko, at after 3 years na tintry namin ng asawa ko tsaka palang binigay ni Lord, Miracle Baby para sa amin knowing na mababa ang sperm count ng asawa ko,” she shared. “Kung kani kanino nadin ako nagtanong para mag paalaga dahil tumatanda na din ako.”
The actress, who starred alongside Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo in Hello, Love, Goodbye said that at 37, she admitted getting worried if she’ll ever conceive. But she held on to her faith and could not be more happy to finally have another child.
Lovely Abella is currently entering her sixth week of pregnancy.
“Sa lahat po ng nakakabasa nito, kahit anong hihilingin mo kay LORD ibibigay niya di man agad agad pero ibibigay niya sa Perfect time niya kaya wag ka mawalan ng pag asa, lalo mo higpitan ang Faith mo sa kanya dahil sigurado ako na ang pinagdadasal mo ay parating na,” she encouraged.
Benj opens up about the struggle to conceive
Benj also commented on the post saying “Praise God!” In a separate post, he wrote of his excitement and the challenges of conceiving.
“This is the best wedding anniversary gift samin ni Lord!” he wrote. “Yes finally after many years of trying, we are now having a baby. Just to give you a background, mababa po ang sperm count ko and that is one of the reasons kaya hirap kami ng asawa ko. Been battling this issue sa sarili ko for how many months now pero lagi ko kinakausap si Lord. Sabi ko, ‘Lord alam ko hindi ko na kailangan mag pa-freeze para lang makabuo kami. Hindi ko kailangan uminom ng gamot para makabuo kami. Lord alam ko kapag hiniling ko sayo ibibigay mo siya samin in YOUR PERFECT TIME.'”
While he is a private person when it comes to his relationship with Lovely, one thing he can share is that trust in God matters.
“I want you guys to know that the Lord is keeping His promises. Grabe siya gumalaw. Trust in Him with all your heart,” he said. “This time, we will cherish every moment sa new chapter ng buhay namin. Ang anak namin si Crisha and si Nathan mag kakakapatid na after how many years and we’re so blessed to have God beside us.”
He also asks for prayers for their family and that they will have a healthy baby.
Several of their good friends congratulated them on the baby news. Among those who commented were Camille Prats, Ara Mina, Iza Calzado, Bianca Umali, and Valeen Montenegro.
Aside from doing films and television, Lovely is an entrepreneur, too. Her businesses include an online shop, cosmetics, cafe, and jewelry line. Meanwhile, Benj is one of the sons of Eat Bulaga host Jose Manalo.
