Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco’s two girls, Mela and Stela, are the latest kids that everyone is loving and gushing. Not only because they are incredible but because they also have the wit and personality of their parents.

I love chicken nuggets
Back in September, Melai posted a Back to School hacks vlog. Here, she admitted the challenges of balancing motherhood and work. The video went viral when Mela and Stela returned from school and thanked their mom by saying, “Mama, thank you very much!! You know that I love chicken nuggets!”
The reaction has been shared so many times online on different social media platforms. There are even various memes created over the statement.
Mela and Stela’s appearance at Araneta City’s Christmas program
Mela and Stela accompanied their mom during an appearance at the opening of Araneta City’s Christmas on Display during the holidays and even performed for the audience. The two not only entertained the audience but were also mesmerized by the beauty of the Binibining Pilipinas queens who hosted the show.
Mela and Stela are not afraid to be real with their mom’s cooking!
In one of their appearances on Magandang Buhay where mom Melai is a co-host, the two made Regine Velasquez-Alcasid laugh non-stop when they made comments about their mom’s cooking. As seen in an edited video on social media, Regine, Jolina Magdangal, and the other guests could not help but be amused by Mela and Stela’s realness.
Dance moves on ASAP
To open 2023, Mela and Stela appeared and did a dance number “Issa Cool” on ASAP. Jason and Melai were in attendance to show support for their little ones.
Melai Cantiveros: Showbiz will have to wait
In a chance interview with Modern Parenting, Melai said that she and Jason allow their kids to do appearances but not too much.
“Sobrang happy kami sa mga anak namin. And I am sure happy din naman ang mga tao sa mga anak namin. Kaya pinapa-share din namin at lumalabas-labas sa mga shows sa ABS,” Meial shared.
“Pero nililimit namin like yung mga teleserye. Kasi may mga inquiries na rin sila. Thank you Lord sa blessing pero kailangan nila unahin ang school nila. Kami naman na-appreciate namin yung mga producers na nag-iinvite sa mga anak namin. Pero this moment in time, mga live shows muna kasi school ang kanilang priority.“
For now, we will have to make do with appearances and vlogs. But surely in the future, Mela and Stela will follow their mom and dad’s footsteps and be superstars in their own right.
