Moms at the Met: 5 Looks We Love from This Year’s Met Gala

From Blake Lively to Gigi Hadid, these moms at the Met Gala truly brought their fashion A-game!

The first Monday of May has always belonged to one of the most iconic fashion events we’ve seen in recent years—the Met Gala. On May 2, after two years, the event followed tradition and once again took place on the said date. A-list celebrities flocked to the red carpet wearing this year’s theme: Guilded Glamour. And because we love anticipating the creative outfits put together by the most talented designers, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite moms at the Met and their statement looks.

Moms at the Met

1. Blake Lively

Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, are co-hosts of this year’s Met Gala. The two arrived together in style as Blake wore a custom Versace that instantly transformed on the carpet. Ryan watched from the background in awe.

2. Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid donned a voluminous burgundy puffer coat with a high collar and train by Versace. Underneath, she wore a corseted bustier and matching latex pants with knee-high boots. The supermodel and mom looked absolutely edgy.

3. Kim Kardashian

Mom of four, Kim Kardashian, wore the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy. In her Instagram post, she shares, “It is a stunning skintight gown adorned with more than 6,000 hand-sewn crystals by costumier Jean Louis.”

She adds, “Thank you Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for giving me the opportunity to debut this evocative piece of fashion history for the first time since the late Marilyn Monroe wore it. I am forever grateful for this moment.”

4. Cardi B

Mom of two, Cardi B, dazzled in a custom Versace gown with gold chains dripping from head to toe. This is her first Met Gala appearance since she welcomed her second baby in September 2021.

5. Khloe Kardashian

Last but not least is Khloe Kardashian, who stormed the Met Gala red carpet in a beaded gold Moschino dress that showed off her hourglass figure.
