Nicole Borromeo’s Mom Wants Her to Rest Before Further Training for International Pageant

Joanne Borromeo would like her daughter Nicole, who won Binibining Pilipinas International 2022, to relax before training for the 2023 pageant

Cebu’s Nicole Borromeo won Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 last Sunday, July 31, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. However, her mom Joanne said she would like her daughter to rest first before preparing for her competition next year.

Speaking to Modern Parenting after the coronation night, Joanne Borromeo admitted feeling stressed for her daughter during the time she was training non-stop for the pageant.

“As of now she can rest,” Joanne said. “Kasi for how many months now, ako yung na stress sa kanya na parang wala siyang pahinga. So at least may break na siya.”

With her daughter now the new Binibining Pilipinas International titleholder, Joanne said that Nicole will remain who she is. “Nicole is still Nicole. She has always been level-headed.”

A reminder from her dad

During an event before the finals, Nicole told Modern Parenting one reminder that her dad always told her during the duration of the competition.

“He always says, ‘I am proud of you no matter what. You have nothing to prove, you are enough for me.'” she recalls

She also shared that despite being four years apart, she and her sister are very close. It’s evident that family plays an important role in Nicole Borromeo’s journey.

Nicole succeeded Hannah Arnold who will compete in the 60th edition happening in Japan this December.
