11 Pregnant Filipina Celebrities in 2022
From Angelica Panganiban and Solenn Heussaff to Bianca King to Iza Calzado, here is a list of pregnant Filipina celebrities this year.
The last 8 months have seen many Filipina celebrities getting pregnant and giving birth. Some are new moms while others are expecting their second child. We rounded up several pregnant Filipina celebrities set to give birth soon.
Pregnant Filipina Celebrities in 2022
Angelica Panganiban
Angelica announced in March that she and her boyfriend Gregg Homan were going to be first-time parents. They have been updating their followers on the pregnancy journey, including visits to the doctor.
In June, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby girl. They have finished decorating the nursery, held a baby shower, and had a maternity shoot in Subic.
Bettina Carlos-Eduardo
Former actress Bettina Carlos announced that she was pregnant again after suffering a miscarriage early this year. Bettina is currently in her second trimester. Her daughter Gummy and husband Mikki Eduardo are excited, too.
Bettina has yet to announce the gender of their baby. But she is expected to give birth sometime in December.
Solenn Heussaff
Last July, Solenn Heussaff and her husband Nico Bolzico announced through a funny video on Instagram that they were expecting baby number 2. At the time of the announcement, Solenn was on her 16th week.
The multi-hyphen artist recently had a photoshoot showing her growing baby bump photographed by Jerick Sanchez.
Rita Daniela
GMA singer and actress Rita Daniela revealed her pregnancy last June. Her non-showbiz boyfriend is the father of her child. However, she prefers to keep things private.
Rita has kept much of her pregnancy under wraps. She was recently seen at the GMA Gala Night where showed her baby bump.
Jessy Mendiola
On August 11, Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano announced they were expecting their first child in a vlog. The footage included photos from Palawan, Batangas, and Baguio. Jessy wore a white dress and showed off her bump.
A week after the announcement, Jessy and Luis posted another vlog where they answered some questions about their pregnancy. As of writing, Jessy is now in her 5th month of pregnancy. She and Luis are releasing more videos of their journey as soon-to-be parents.
Iza Calzado
Actress Iza Calzado announced on her birthday, August 12, that she was going to be a mom soon. The Darna star who turned 40 said: “God’s plans are always far greater than mine and I humbly accept this new chapter of my life with a heart filled with gratitude, casting all my fears and worries aside and simply trusting in the divine timing and wisdom of life. Something deep inside me knows that you will propel me to greater heights to soar higher than ever before in ways I cannot even begin to imagine. You will give be THE WHY, THE PURPOSE, THE DIRECTION in life, and I embrace you in my life as we build, along with Ben — your dad, a FAMILY!”
Speaking to Bianca Gonzalez during a Cinema One interview, Iza said that she and Ben were not even trying to have a baby at all. “This was all unplanned but highly appreciated.”
Iza is currently on vacation and just entered her second trimester.
Bianca King
After her sister-in-law Iza Calzado’s announcement, actress, content creator, and entrepreneur Bianca King also shared that she was 15 weeks pregnant!
“I lived my life exactly the way I wanted. Took my time and did everything I needed to do. When it was time for us [to] chase the dream of becoming parents, we were ready as ever,” Bianca said. She is currently based in Australia.
Bianca chronicled her journey, including preparations and some of the things she had to avoid to prepare her body, mind, and spirit for the journey.
LJ Moreno-Alapag
Actress and entrepreneur LJ Moreno-Alapag announced that she and her husband, former PBA player and current coach Jimmy Alapag, are expecting baby number 4. In her last update, LJ said that she just finished her 1st trimester.
“Finally getting my energy back after almost 3 months of nausea and being glued to the bed. 1st trimester was ROUGH!!! Glad I can finally start doing some cardio and yoga! Welcome 17 weeks baby bump,” she said in an August 9 Instagram post.
LJ is currently based in the US with Jimmy and their 3 children.
Melissa Gohing-Nacino
Volleyball player Melissa Gohing-Nacino and her husband, actor Rocco Nacino, will become parents sometime in October. The couple first confirmed the pregnancy in May. They announced last June that they are expecting a baby boy during a gender reveal party.
Danica Sotto-Pingris
Last June, actress, and host Danica Sotto-Pingris shared that she and her husband, former PBA player Marc Pingris are expecting their third child. In her update on August 25, Danica wrote:
“No more headaches and dizzy spells. Thank you Lord! I have more energy and can eat almost anything. Tagal na since my last pregnancy so I’m really feeling every symptom. Mixed emotions na may kaba and excitement. Whenever I have anxious thoughts, I renew my mind because I know I’m not alone and that we have God as our guide and our source of strength.”
Melissa Ricks
Actress Melissa Ricks announced she is expecting her second child, her first with her non-showbiz husband Michael Macatangay. She has a daughter, Kiera, from a previous relationship.
