Remembering Cris Albert: A Beloved Mom and Leader
We immortalize the memory of the late FILA Philippines CEO and Owner Cris Albert with her various achievements.
A beloved mother and leader, late FILA Philippines CEO and Owner Cris Albert took the shoe fashion industry by storm. Inspired by her mother’s sense of fashion, who is a former supermodel and show choreographer, Wanda Louwallien, Cris pushed the boundaries of what sneakers were and are. Affectionately known as “Loveee” among friends, we hope she can rest easy knowing the strong legacy she left behind as a mom to her kids, to her employees, and to sneakerheads everywhere.

Before becoming FILA PH’s CEO, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Assumption College Makati. After that, she received her post-grad degree at INSEAD in Business Administration. She also got another degree from Harvard for Organizational Leadership and OPM. As a boss, she was inspirational and a generous soul as mentioned by Bea Baquirin:
A Beloved Mom
A very private person, Cris Albert filled the lives of everyone she touched with love. Hence her nickname, “Loveee”. Even her friends were able to feel it. In a short IG post, Actress Ana Abad Santos lovingly commemorated her older sister’s memory:
Even with the hectic schedule of being FILA PH’s CEO, she still had time to be a mom. She shared how her grandmother and mother served as her greatest inspiration in her 2020 interview with Lifestyle Asia. “When I was little, I always saw my grandmother and mother working while also taking care of the family. I believe that has had a huge impact on me, I have always felt that managing a healthy work and family balance is especially important. At the end of the day, everything they did at work was for the family and the members of their community.”
Currently, she is survived by her husband, Butch Albert, and her two kids. Her son, Carlos Albert, recently graduated high school. And her daughter, Bela Albert, mentioned her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps. “I’m very proud of what my parents have built, and I would love to be in the retail industry in the future,” she shared on Lifestyle Asia’s digital cover.

While the details are still being hashed out by both families, we offer our deepest condolences to both families. Cris Albert shone like a bright beacon in her family and in the fashion world. May her love continue to inspire her family and those she left behind. And most of all, may her legacy continue not just in business but through the little nuggets of wisdom she passed on.
