WATCH: Ruffa Gutierrez Graduates from College
Ruffa Gutierrez formally gets her diploma from the Philippine Women’s University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts.
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez marched on Friday, September 2, during the 99th Commencement Exercises of the Philippine Women’s University. It was held at the Philippine International Convention Center. Ruffa previously shared that she finished her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” the actress quoted Lao Tzu, sharing a brief graduation reel.
Ruffa also shared a short reel from the school where she was interviewed alongside her daughter Venice.
Never late to finish school
Ruffa Gutierrez said in 2021 that she decided to go back to school not only for herself but to serve as a role model to her two daughters. Her daughter Lorin is currently in the US studying at Pepperdine University.
“After 34 years of working in the entertainment industry, I have chosen to further my education. Not only do I want to fulfill a long-held dream and take control of the next chapter of my life. But I also want to set a good example for my children,” she wrote.
Moreover, Ruffa Gutierrez shared in August that aside from graduating from PWU, she was set to take her Master’s Degree in Communication Arts.
Several of her family members including brothers Raymond and Richard as well as friends congratulated her on this milestone in her life.
