Parents, you’ll want to brace your kid for the big news — their favorite guy on YouTube, Blippi, is getting married! Just this week, Stevin John, the original — not the new Blippi — announced on social media that he proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Alyssa Ingham!
The announcement
The Blippi star, Stevin John, shared a series of photographs revealing the moment he proposed. In the photos, you can see Stevin John getting down on one knee to pop the question. Another photo shows Stevin leaping for joy when Alyssa gave her answer. “I got upgraded from boyfriend to fiancé!” John shared in his Instagram post. “I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with you!”
Together since 2015
In her own Instagram post, Alyssa Ingham revealed that she’s been dating Stevin John for the past six years. The engagement has been received well by Blippi fans. However, one fan was quick to comment how “all those moms would be heartbroken now”.
According to Instagram, the couple have two dogs — a poodle named Lyno and a boxer pitbull mix named Lily.
Stevin John has been playing Blippi since 2014. He’s been at the forefront of crafting educational videos millions of kids worldwide are fans of.
