With restaurants opening up again, dining out is an option once more. Many people are still wary of eating indoors in public places due to COVID-19, so the next best thing is to eat outdoors. Luckily, the weather is cooling down and non-aircon, alfresco dining will actually be a pleasant experience. You can finally celebrate special occasions and milestones safely outside your home. No need to celebrate your birthday in your dining room again. But starting September 16 to 30, NCR’s going to be on Alert Level 4. Meaning, outdoor places like alfresco restaurants will only be operating at 30% seating capacity. Kids as usual won’t be able to go out but fully vaccinated people can go out if they need to get their essentials and the sort. If it’s indoor, only 10% and you have to be fully vaccinated before going in. Take note, this might change as we go along so we’ll be updating this as it does change.

2. The Loggia, Palacio de Memoria
The Loggia by Margarita Fores is a new restaurant that specializes in Italian-Filipino cuisine, which Chef Margarita Fores is known for. Set in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Palacio de Memoria in Roxas Blvd, the Loggia offers delicious dishes such as Australian Beef Tenderloin alla Scamorza, which is served with smoked mozzarella and red wine jus. 5. Mamou
If you want to celebrate with tried and tested comfort food that always hits the spot, you can’t go wrong with Mamou. Known for their steaks, truffle pasta, and desserts, Mamou is always a great choice for happy occasions. Mamou offers outdoor dining options in all their branches (Powerplant, BGC, and Ayala 30th) so if you have young children waiting at home who can’t go out yet due to current quarantine guidelines, you can choose the nearest branch to you and have a quick but still memorable meal.

6. Lemuria
A familiar name for people from the North (i.e. Quezon City and up), Lemuria is another restaurant that’s been around for many years. This elegant restaurant is tucked inside Horseshoe Village in Quezon City and has been witness to many proposals and intimate weddings. You can choose to dine in their garden or if you’re celebrating with people you’re comfortable with (meaning your fully-vaxxed friends and family members) you can also eat inside their main dining room. This romantic restaurant is perfect for couples celebrating a special occasion. Set in Chef Nins Laus’ ancestral house, Ninyo has become Katipunan’s best-known “well-kept secret”. If you’re craving steak, look no further than Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. Known to serve one of the best steaks in Metro Manila, you can get your steak fix in a safe outdoor dining setting. Choose between their branches in Podum, BGC, or Resorts World, all have limited outdoor dining capacity.
