Top 10 Burgers Your Kids Will Love To Eat in NCR+

If washing plates are a problem, burgers are the way to go and your kids won’t even argue about it.

Washing plates and utensils are exhausting hence, burgers are a welcome sight. They’re wrapped in paper or foil, don’t need utensils, and are easy to clean up after. Burgers are also a complete meal: it has veggies, protein, and carbs. Best part is if your kids are picky eaters, they won’t argue with burgers especially if it’s loaded with cheese. After scouring around, we found several burgers that your kids would love to eat and easy to find on Grab or Food Panda. Here are Modern Parenting’s Top 10:

1. Zark’s

Famous for the triple patty Jawbreaker and 8-patty Tombstone, Zark’s made itself famous with college kids for being worth its price and weight. Their unique creations such as the Krispy Kreme Burger, a burger sandwiched in between two original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts, or the Deep-Fried Burger which is wrapped in bacon before being deep-fried. These may look like a heart attack on a plate but big eaters, adventurous eaters, and those on a keto-diet will appreciate it. Their latest addition to the menu’s the Triple-V Burger — their rendition of a Vegan Burger which still tastes like meat and offers less guilt.

2. Campfire Burgers

Located along Scout Limbaga, Campfire Burgers‘ famous for its signature campfire sauce. Their signature Rockstar burger comes with bacon strips and jalapeños, oozing with blue cheese sauce. They also have the Low-Cal Burger for those who are on a vigilant calorie watch. For the daredevils in the family, the Hell’s Fire Burger indulges the thrill of anyone who wants to test their spice tolerance. But if you want something unique, their Kofta Burger‘s a Middle-Eastern take on a burger.

3. Bad Boys Burger

They have a right to claim “The Baddest Burgers In Town“. Unlike other burger joints, they serve stuffed burgers — all burgers are baked inside the bun. Their Michael Corleone Burger easily wins anyone over with its creamy Truffle cheese sauce. The kids will fall in love with the King Kong Burger — a burger patty sandwiched in between two grilled cheese sandwiches and have mozzarella and cheddar oozing from it. If the family’s trying something less beefy, they have the Hannibal Lecter or the Ibong Adarna for cheesy chicken options.

4. Kenny Rogers

While they’re known more for their roast chicken, their Cheeseburgers are good too. The beef patty’s quite juicy and being in the meat roasting business for a while, means they know their stuff. Their burgers have a healthier approach with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion especially when they just introduced their plant-based burger. For those trying to live a vegan-life style or get their kids to do so, Kenny Rogers is the place to start. Just remind them to hold the cheese.

5. H.I.D Burgers

Short for “Healthy and Irresistibly Delicious” Burgers, H.I.D Burgers combines both sausages and burger patties into one burger. With their different combinations, the crowd-pleasers include the Bacon Mushroommelt which has mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, and bacon. We’ve heard some kids fell in love with the Cheesebomb which has cheese sauce, cream cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Then, there’s the Herbs and Cheese Burger that’s loaded with cottage cheese and basil.

6. Tropical Hut

Tropical Hut‘s withstood the test of time for years because their burgers have always catered to the Filipino kids’ tastes. Their juicy Ranchero Burger that comes with a wet sunny-side-up egg may be a bit messy to eat but meets anyone’s protein requirement. The Aloha Burger‘s got the pineapple to get rid of the oiliness of the burger and they have the Sili Burger too for something spicy.

7. Dre’s Burger

This pandemic-born burger joint’s been making waves that Dre’s Burger sometimes gets fully booked until closing time. While their menu is not that big, they do have five different varieties. Their Dre’s Classic has the usual TLC (Tomato, Lettuce, and Cheese) but for more adventurous ones, there’s the Fire Red which has their famous Reaper Sauce mixed with Habanero. Then, there’s the What The Burger that’s protein-loaded with a sausage, a sunny-side up egg, and a burger. Their main branch is Mandaluyong however so, Grab Express might be a better way to order from them.

8. 8 Cuts Burger

A place where burgers are custom-made to your palate, all the way to what the patty should be made of. Best burger choice to go for might either be the Piggy or the Four Cheese 2.0. 8 Cuts Burger smokes their own bacon and has a wide selection of cheeses to fill both burgers. But it’s okay if you’re not too adventurous on the burgers. They have the basic Cheeseburger and the OG Quarter Pounder Burger too if you’re just trying them out.

9. Super Sam

Despite the pandemic, Super Sam’s been booming since they just opened their new branch in the Scout area of QC. While they do have some pasta and rice meals, their Very Veggie Burger and Chori Burger‘s the reason why we’d go back there. Unlike most veggie burgers that use soy or beans, they use a giant portabello mushroom instead. They’re also one of the few places that a good fish burger, their Fish Samwich.

10. Sweet Ecstasy

Looking for Manila’s Worst Kept Burger Secret? That’s the Steamburger from Sweet Ecstasy. By steaming all the components together before grilling it, each bite will have a contrasting texture of both soft and crispy on the edges. Their unique Peanut Butter Burger‘s an interesting thing to bite into with the nutty flavor instead of the tangy cheese. They’re another burger joint that has a vegan selection: The Beyond x Burger wherein everything (including the cheese) is completely vegan.

Goodbye, dishwashing! Hello, meaty goodness!

Burgers may not be something we can eat daily but it gives our hands a break. Since everything’s disposable (unless you recycle even the foil used to wrap the burger), cleaning up won’t take too much energy. We’ll have extra time for ourselves and we can even take dinner to the TV room to binge-watch Netflix with the kids. Burger nights can turn into a bonding time for the family, just make sure the bread crumbs stay all in one area.
