We all agree that 2020’s been quite the year. To top it off, #UlyssesPH has come, ravaging the homes in 1,262 barangays in Metro Manila and many other Luzon regions. If you’re looking for ways to lend a helping hand to those who have been affected by the typhoon, here’s how:
One Mega Group is organizing relief operations for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses. ONE MEGA GROUP RELIEF OPERATIONS aims to raise funds that will support at least 1,000 families with care packages, each one containing essential food, water, and hygiene products that should feed a typical family for two days.
Typhoon Ulysses, equivalent in force to a Category 2 Hurricane by PAGASA, caused immense flooding with up to three meters of storm surge in parts of Metro Manila. Thousands of homes in the affected areas were submerged in floodwater, prompting residents to take shelter on their rooftops and makeshift centers. Although some have already been evacuated, many are still stranded or remain displaced. According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the number of evacuees in Metro Manila has now exceeded 8,000 families.
