Who is The Power Duo? Meet Jervin and Anjanette Minor!

#PinoyPride once again sweeps the internet as Jervin and Anjanette Minor become the grand finalists of America’s Got Talent.

Jervin and Anjanette Minor, also famously known as The Power Duo, secured a slot in the grand finals for America’s Got Talent which includes judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum. Their performance was a dance number using Calum Scott’s “You’re The Reason,” showcasing their acrobatic skills and choreography. But who are Jervin and Anjanette Minor? Here’s what we know!

1. They are parents to a 1-year-old son!

The Power Duo are parents, too! Jervin and Anjanette Minor have a 1-year-old son named Javin.

2. This wasn’t the Power Duo’s first competition.

Prior to America’s Got Talent, both Jervin and Anjanette competed together and won in “Pilipinas Got Talent 2016” and finished 3rd place in “Asia’s Got Talent 2019.”

3. Both parents are fitspirations.

Anjanette Minor and Jervin Minor’s respective Instagram accounts showcase a lot of their workouts. Some involve strength building but most of them include flexibility. Considering some of the stunts they do for their dance numbers, it’s a must to make sure there’s complete body control.

4. They’re fur parents, too!

Jervin often posts pictures of their fluffy white Chow-Chow named Casper.

5. They also post some of their dance choreographies on TikTok.

Although they have a few on Instagram, they have a bigger following on TikTok. Jervin has 113.5k followers and Anjanette has 8011 followers on TikTok. Additionally, they have an official Tiktok account as the Power Duo with 21.1k followers.

“Dance as an Expression of Love and Trust”

Their last Tiktok video described their last performance not just as an expression of talent but that of love. Performing acrobatic feats with a partner requires a lot of trust—especially with its physical repercussions if not done right. As the Power Duo sets out to compete in the grand finals, it’s proof that the Philippines has a lot to offer especially with the best partner to do so.
