In Vlog, Winwyn Marquez Recalls Arrival of Daughter Luna
Winwyn Marquez shared that she went through the adjustments of a first-time mom.
Since the arrival of her daughter Luna, Winwyn Marquez has released some details. In her vlog posted last May 22, the actress-beauty queen shared insights on giving birth and the adjustments of being a first-time mom.
Winwyn Marquez was 39 weeks and 5 days before Luna arrived
Winwyn shared that she was close to 40 weeks before Luna arrived. At one point, she even experienced a false alarm and was beginning to feel uncomfortable.
“Sobrang excited na ako na and bagal-bagal ng oras,” she said. “Ang sakit na ng tiyan ko, and sakit na ng likod ko, hindi na ako makatulog ng maayos. Medyo na frufrustrate na din ako because I also really wanna see my baby already.”
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 winner said that the birth was so unpredictable that she and her partner had to take an RT-PCR test twice because, at one point, she thought Luna was coming out already.
Luna makes her presence felt
Winwyn then shared that after entering 39 weeks and 5 days of her pregnancy, she started feeling contractions. Her partner was already urging them to go to the hospital but she initially refused because it might be another false alarm.
“He convinced me and I said okay, let’s go. Buti na lang malapit yung hospital,” she said.
Because of the pain that she was already experiencing, the guard at the hospital also accompanied them and she and her partner were immediately able to go inside the hospital. She was then taken to the delivery room.
Although the contractions were painful, everything went smooth after. Two hours later, she started pushing and Luna arrived. Moreover, she was grateful that her partner was by her side in the birthing process.
A different feeling
Winwyn said she felt a bit different after Luna came out. “Hindi ko alam paano i-dedescribe but all the pain na naramdaman ko and nung nakita ko si Luna and I heard her cry, iba talaga yung feeling.”
“Parang bigla nawala yung sakit, lahat ng pain doon and I was just smiling.”
For Winwyn, it was truly magical. She also thanked the team who took care of her and her child.
But like first-time moms, Winwyn had some challenges including breastfeeding and postpartum.
“I know a lot of moms are going through that as well. And it’s not easy but please do remember you are not alone and it’s okay to cry and break down sometimes. But at the end of the day, kakayanin natin for our baby,” she said.
